Our take
This 27-inch Sceptre is a great budget gaming monitor. The 165Hz IPS panel makes games look smooth and vibrant. I appreciate the multiple HDMI ports—I have my PC and console hooked up simultaneously. The matte screen helps with glare. However, the stand only allows tilt, so you'll want a VESA arm for better ergonomics. Colors are good out of the box, but the maximum rated and advertised refresh rate is actually 165Hz, consistent with the model. For $155, this is a steal.
